Mojo/Heyboer JTM45 PT Questions

Post by FourT6and2 » Sun May 14, 2017 12:23 am

Got a Mojo/Heyboer JTM45 PT in the mail today. But the wiring doesn't exactly match the order on the product schematic. That's fine, happens all the time. But I'm a little confused which leads I should use for simple 120v operation here in the US. I presume, that for 240v, you'd wire both 120v leads together and then send both 0v leads to Mains N. But for 120v, which of the two 120v leads should I use and which 0v lead should I send to Mains N?

Can I just use either 120v and its corresponding 0v? Or should I send both 0v leads to Mains? Or do I mix/match a 120v and the opposite 0v? Help!

Second question: When mounting the transformer to the chassis, should I use the nuts that are already on the bolts as standoffs like in this photo? Or do I unscrew them, mount the transformer, then use those nuts to bolt the transformer back down from the inside? Seems weird to have the transformer sitting off the chassis like this. But hell... I don't know if there's a good reason to do it like or not...

Oh, wait... do I tie Black/White + Black/Yellow together for 120v Live, and then tie Black + Black/Blue together for Mains N?

for 120v, try the two primaries in parallel; for 240v, try series
