Dropper Resistor on a 67?

Sorry this is kind of going over what has been said before but......

I've been reading about the 1.75k primary O.T being risky to run 4x EL34's because of the dissipation and the screen voltages being too high.

Would it be better as Roe said to use those 2.2k 10watt screen resistors on the tube sockets since I'll be using a C1998 O.T and with high voltage B+.

Will it mess the tone up and get away from the late 67 sound?

What screen resistors would you run in this type of set up?

how high voltage? and how much sag or current available?

P.T will be a T2562 with dual taps so the high voltage tap will be I think 500v @ 150ma.

in UK at 240vac in we get 490vDC with 6.3vac heaters

should be fine with 490-95v on the plates. these amps sag a lot
