The pots were quite different. Old ones are much higher. You have to measure and compensate. I run a 1k sine into the amp and take db readings at the pots. Usually with them all on 5.

Sometimes they sound spot on alike and other times a little different. The old ones, just like in the 12,000 series clips, seem to have a randomness that the replica does not.

The original sounds just a little bit more open, clearer, wider freq response? Not as compressed? I'd be happy with that tone! Wait I have Metro 45 in a BB cab! Time to bust it out and start sourcing mustards!
