The pots were quite different. Old ones are much higher. You have to measure and compensate. I run a 1k sine into the amp and take db readings at the pots. Usually with them all on 5.

Couldn't resist another clip. This time with the DI guitar tracks.

Sometimes they sound spot on alike and other times a little different. The old ones, just like in the 12,000 series clips, seem to have a randomness that the replica does not.

The original sounds just a little bit more open, clearer, wider freq response? Not as compressed? I'd be happy with that tone! Wait I have Metro 45 in a BB cab! Time to bust it out and start sourcing mustards!

When you hit that G note in 0:25, I thought of Heartbreaker instantly. :-) BBC Sessions version? I like it!!
