Got a question. Where do you get that skinny wire that you use and is it 600v rated?
I need some wire like that for some Hiwatt repairs.
Thanks--- The thin gray (slate) wire in that build is Alpha 22AWG solid, PTFE (Teflon) insulated, 600V rated, Mil Spec----- It is expensive--- I get it from Mouser in 100ft rolls----- I get bulk parts from Mouser and I usually add a 100ft roll of this wire, in one color or another, to my orders.

Mouser link: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Alp ... zPqix7s%3d

If you don't need a 100ft roll of expensive wire for one amp job, Watts Tube Audio has 22AWG solid, PTFE, 600V rated hook-up wire in many colors----- sold by the foot------click on "Wire" at bottom left: http://www.turretboards.com/

Also, Valvestorm has 22AWG, stranded pre tinned, PVC, "Topcoat", 600V rated wire for much less $$$----- this is good wire and I've been considering moving to this product: http://valvestorm.com/Products/Wire

But, for now, I'll stay with the Alpha, PTFE, 100ft spools from Mouser...................gldtp99

Thanks for the links. Yeah, $100 a spool and I only need a little so I'll try Watts. The Top Coat is really good stuff and I've been using it in most of my projects but I've got this Hiwatt with skinny wire and it's out of place in there, lol.

Yes, I know exactly what you mean----- My '72 Hiwatt DR103 gut shot----- photobucket has two stages of zoom so you can see the circuit better:
