My latest 2203 Build

Had a lot of fun with this one. PEC Pots, Solen coupling caps, minor gain mods, Metro loop. The amp screams.
The mods are: 1uf with a 1.2k in series across a 5.6k on V1a (Second stage). 1uf across 820 on V2a, 560k to ground at mixer, .047 couplers at PI, 5k presence pot instead of 25k, 500pf bright cap instead of 1000pf.

that's a keeper. those solen caps perhaps give a smooth dare i say sweetness to the tone? not quite typical on a 800 to have any smooth sweetness but it works. The heyboer output, is that a metro heyboer or did you buy it direct somehow? Marstran's are heyboers as well no?
have you tried a larger cap on that 5k presence? say .3 to .68 range? would give some grind and depth to the tone. not that it needs it but an easy mod that i'm messing with on mine. (compared to the stock .1 u)
