Have you ever been in a band? Ill grant you there is a slight difference, mostly in timbre, when you're sitting at home navel gazing, but once you blend with a drummer and a bass player, I assure you any difference will be imperceptible...with the possible difference of a fretted note vs an open string note.

Jeezus, y'know what? This is ridiculous. I've been sucked into arguing about fingerings...which was never the point. My whole post had NOTHING to do with the damn fingerings, if they were right or wrong or whatever. It had EVERYTHING to do with your constant elitist, condescending bullshit.

Actually, you started that off-topic argument. :palm:

Ummm... no. Reread that. The argument was not actually about the fingering, it was about Allan's attitude. The part I included about the fingering was just to illustrate his neurotic need to always be right. This isn't the first time we've gone round & round about this. But, thanks for playing...

Maybe you missed it, but I never claimed that my fingering was 100% right and Phil's was wrong...otherwise I'd be arguing with Phil as well. All I said was that what Phil was playing was "essentially the same"...in the sense that they're both A major, B minor, and G major chord fragments with open B and E strings included. But, Allan jumps in and makes this hyperbolic, exaggerated post that makes it sound like what I posted was so far off base as to be ridiculous..."your fingering couldn't be any different than Phil's"...which is just silly. No, it's not the same, but it's far from his claim. Allan has this habit...a constant habit...of presenting himself as if he is the foremost authority on anything to do with Eddie and he tries to demean, belittle, and dismiss anyone who dares take a different stance than his official proclamation. It's aggravating and annoying and drives people away from participating in these forums...as you may have noticed by the virtual tumbleweeds blowing through this joint, compared to what it was a couple of years ago.

Why the hell would YOU care anyway, Che Guitarra? Given all the disdain you have for the place when you're not actually here, I'd think you wouldn't give a shit... http://guitaramped.com/forum/other-forums-f54.html

There again with the arrogance and elitist attitude...automatically assuming that you know more than I do and AGAIN, talking down to me, as if I have something to learn from YOU. What's funny to me is that you won't even address any of the issues I've brought up in numerous posts. I'm sure it's just because you think it's beneath you to dignify posts of the underlings with a response.

I just read through the "old internet article about the recording of Eruption" thread, and if you didn't get it then, you're never going to get it. At this point, I'm just pissing in the wind...so, I'll leave you kids to it. Enjoy! :peace:

Well, it's a darn good thing you don't have that problem. :stars:
Yeah... it is.

On a related note, I'm guessing reading comprehension isn't exactly your strong suit.

I must be moving up in the world...I finally made one of the derision threads over at the Old Bitches Knitting Circle at Guitaramped.

Hi Che! Hi LLL/Flanders/Lopes or whatever you're calling yourself today.

Who are those guys at Guitaramped? Are they disgruntled ex Metro forum members who were banned? Is LLL the "Lefty Lounge Lizard"?
