I still use the tuning you posted in your original VH tuning thread for RWTD on my main guitar all the time.

Just love the way chords sound all over the neck with that tuning.
Thanks very much indeed! It's exactly the same tuning I posted in this thread as well...the only difference is that you needed to have the Sweetened GTR setting on the Peterson in order to use the tuning in the old thread. I made this seperate thread to post the "actual" pitches so that the Sweetened GTR setting isn't necessary.

When I first posted the tunings I took great care not to reveal what Peterson's offsets were because I didn't want to expose their intellectual property on the internet...but after all this time I don't think they care so I'm just posting everything using "actual pitches", if that makes any sense?

"On Fire"(from the Van Halen LP)

1st string: Eb -5.3 cents
2nd string: Bb -2.1 cents
3rd string: F# -3.4 cents
4th string: C# -3.0 cents
5th string: Ab -3.0 cents
6th string: Eb -5.3 cents

I found this tuning using my Ibanez Destroyer and I referred to the DCC Compact Classics 24k Gold Master Recording CD.

garbeaj, so the tunings posted on this thread are used without selecting the Peterson sweetened tunings offsets ?
Your tunings really help me play along with the studio songs as opposed to say, just using a Snark tuner in E flat.

Yes, these are the "actual pitches" in this thread-without the "Sweetened GTR" setting. Glad these are working for you! I also just got the StroboClip HD which is just $50. It can also be plugged into a PC or Mac by a mini-USB to USB cable and you can load all these Van Halen tunings directiy to it. Same goes for the StroboPlus HD...just register your tuner and go to the "User Trading Post" section of the Peterson website and you'll be able to load the tunings directly.

By the way, you can get the Peterson StroboPlus HD along with the metronome upgrade for $99 for Black Friday. Incredible deal.
