EDIT: Have working keyboard now and fixed $'s for actual S's.

I'm going to be completely truthful here. Amp is not VH amp $ound. Ok but not killer. Phil kills it as usual.

Phil is in the jungles of Borneo, but he did send some more info by SAT-Phone:
"On Fire has its own tone on the first album so that's what I went for in that clip. That was the blue strat with the Duncan 59, but with a ceramic mag swapped in"

Loved this clip. This is my favorite Metroplex recording to date. 59 with a Ceramic HA! love it.

I can't help but wonder wonder what one of your other Destroyers would sound like through this. That would be a closer comparison to your previous On Fire clip that did a lot of jaw dropping.

Phil is one of the best players I've ever encountered when it comes to studying Van Halen's tones and playing techniques. I miss him!

Thanks for posting this...Phil's incredible Destroyers and his other guitars and his amps are truly amazing in his hands. His work represents some of the most accurate observations out there. I can't say enough how much I've learned from Bill (wjamflan), Sean_McFly, efraser, Toneslinger and Phil and others. Their patience and help have made a major impact on me and I'm grateful!
