Drop Dead Legs "apartment volume"

Post by rawel34 » Fri Jul 27, 2018 3:31 pm

Hi everybody, VH friends.
Just recorded my guitars along this 1984 song in my home-studio. I kept my Marshall's volume VERY low, looking for a decent VH guitar sound as much as possible and this is the result.
Hope you like it.

Cheers.

Hard tail Mahogany Strat with Di Marzio PAF's
Aria ach-1 analog chorus (just intro and B-section)
Marshall DSL100
THD Hot Plate (-16 dB's)
Dragoon 2x12 cab with G12H's
SM57

Sounded great man ! You definately demonstrated how a newer amp can sound alot like Ed's classic tone.......of course your hands have alot to do with it

Now THAT was a pleasant surprise!
Usually you hear someone on YouTube 'playing along with the record' and you can't hear which is which, but this was GREAT!

What did you use for the 'harmonizer'/chorus-y VH effect, rawEL34..? :vh:

I used a light 80's old Aria ach-1 analog chorus in the intro and B-section.
Thank you, again for listened to it. :vh:
