Resistor question

I messed up my two 1meg resistors by cutting them too short. The only replacements I can find locally are 1/2 watt. Is this okay to use as a replacement until I can order the 1 watts?

Yes, half-watts are what is usually specified from the factory (unless the schematic specifically says otherwise.) It's just all of us DIY'ers that like to "overbuild" a little that go with one-watters all around.
