The 820 Ohm Resistors

Post by mightymike » Tue Jun 28, 2005 6:50 pm

Just curious what people here are using for this position.
Metal Oxide, Carbon Film, or Carbon Comp?
The kits come with 2 watt Metal Oxide, do they need to be 2 watt?
I have some 1 watt carbon Films, I was thinking of using.
Suggestions welcome.

For the preamp tube cathodes they don't need to be two watt, I think it's just hard to find the lower wattage resistors with leads long enough to get from terminal to terminal across the board (same with the feedback resistor.) If your carbon films will make it across they will work fine.

Leads long enough to reach is pretty much the whole issue.
