bare bones kit question

Post by Ivabiggun » Fri Jun 22, 2007 3:13 am

Hi, I want to build a '66 JTM 45/100 and was going to use the bare bones kit as a starting point. The store page states that it is for '67 and '68 replicas. Does any one know if the main and power boards will work for the '66 layout? Would it be difficult to add adjustable bias? It doesn't look like it would be to hard to do that from the layout diagram. Also what is the correct value of the cap in the center of the power board? Is it .05uf, or 0.5uf. The closest value I can find for that is .047uf, and 0.47uf. If it's not 0.47uf then I will have a couple of 1000v caps for sale cheap is anyone could use them.

Thanks

The cap is a .05uF .......

The cap board that comes with that kit will not work with the '66 layoutm but I have a board here that I made as a sample that will work with George's '67-'68 chassis:

Caps are broken in already, PM me if you're interested. It's the same red fiberglass material that George's boards are made of so it will blend right in. Other than I don't have a template to perf them.
