Post by jj jafar » Thu Feb 03, 2005 9:12 pm

when i installed my new board in my reissue 800 georges pics show a 68k on v1 pin2.i have one on there now but was wondering do i really need that?i cant locate one on the old reissue board and there was not one on the input or v1.im thinking the 470/470 combo is enough.any info on this would be great.thanks, jason

The 470K/470pF combination is only the input resistance for the low input. For the high input it's between the first and second gain stages. The high input still needs an input resistance between the jack and the first gain stage, and that's the 68K. It can be mounted to the jack, to the tube socket or on the board (George seems to like it on the tube socket in many cases for noise purposes?) but the stock RI had to have it somewhere in there as well.
