What crappy circuit? I'm not sure i understand the poll George? Are you talking about replacing the board in one of your originals?

He was referring to the tremolo circuit for his BluesBreaker reissue board. The tremolo circuit blows ass.

Oh i see! Maybe offer it as an option, but offer the new one stock. Maybe charge extra for the tremelo?

For prebuilt boards, recreate the crappy circuit. If people don't like it, they'll get the JTM45 board. However, for the kits, i think you should do the following. If your revised circuit is similar, and just uses different values, include both the original and the better values in the kit, include 2 different layouts with just those values, one marked modern and the other marked vintage, and give the builder the choice. Just my 2 cents.
