Turret board material from Brian H.

Post by wrea398 » Thu Feb 03, 2011 11:00 am

I just wanted to let you all know that I recently bought a 69 S/L board from Brian H @ Kurts Equipment. As you know he had to change material due to lack of availibility of the reddish linen/cloth grades he once offered. If anyone is skeptical about the new stuff, I just wanted to let you know it is very nice and very much like vintage Paxolin. I have another variety from the UK that I think is very nice as well but I think I like his better. Color is like dark chocolate and the finish is almost exactly like the real deal. Brian definately know what is best in availibilty these days. Bottom line is do not be skeptical. Buy one from him and you will not be disappointed. Thanks Brian!!

I had Brians 45/100 boards and they were very high quality. Also, the board material was really nice. Looks very close to the darker boards that can be seen on originals at the end of 60's, early 70's. Turrets were staked perfectly and the holes are perfectly drilled - they fully matched up to the holes on an original board from RS that i found. I'd recommend these to anyone without hesitation!

I bought mine without turrets. I just got mine staked yesterday with double split turrets. Nice board material. Still need to drill the 3rd trim pot hole but it all went very well.

Yeah I saw that. I may order a 67/68 from him. It almost looks like the original RS hole board.

Looks like really nice stuff indeed - great for mid 60's style builds.

I just received 2 more 67/68 sets. Brian was able to find the dark brown stuff again. Just finished staking both sets. Thanks again Brian!
