How do I read the vishay codes?

4703 = 132k
4752= 47k
4750 = 470 ohms

And my carbon film 470k reads 128k

:shock:

Is that incircuit or did you pull them to measure?

You can't always measure in circuit, sometimes the small meter current finds an alternate path and you get a reading of the circuit's resistance instead of just one component's.
