Chris ******. Somebody here will have his e-mail, I'm on my dad's computer........was it just merrenaudio@aol.com ????

I don't know if you will have trouble calling him being on the other side of the pond, but I don't think he likes doing business by e-mail much.....he quit responding to my e-mails a while back and I just didn't have time to call and yak while I was at work. May not be a big deal if you know what you need and it's a pretty stock item.

Chris has the correct perforated Paxolin that the old stuff was made out of. The standard Metro perf is fiberglass-based, and while George can do and has done Paxolin he's had to perf it with his drill press (Chris claimed that George got his Paxolin from Chris, so maybe Chris hoards the perf boards for himself?)

My Super PA is Paxolin that George had to perf on his drill press:

But George doesn't have much time left anymore for custom stuff -- still, you could try e-mailing George too if Chris falls through.

I imported the Paxolin from Holburne in the UK. And it cost me an arm and a leg. I won't be doing that again. I paid over $700 for a few dozen main board and a dozen cap boards.

Most are gone already. I've been looking for an equivalent material domestically, but no luck so far. I'll let you guys know if I come up with something.

Chris claimed in an e-mail to me that you got the Paxolin from him....that's a riot!!!! No that I care, since he started blowing off my e-mails halfway through arranging for a tranny for that Super PA. Brian Wallace was more than happy to step in though. :D

Thanks guys!

Well I got a reply from Ray now and everything seems doable and for fair prices!

I contacted george first of all but as flames said, and I understand completely, VG is just too busy to do stuff like that these days. As he stated above.

George, if you read this, do you sell the JTM45/100 panels and headcases still?

Oh and has anyone had any luck using EL-34

My chassis is also the early aluminium one. I think it was acyually one of the first ones George sold 8)

.. I meant what material did you use for boards in your JTM45/100 build?:)

The board material was the "vintage brown" Garolite that George has quit stocking due to a couple of moisture absorption problems.
