Post by stokesdead » Tue Jan 23, 2007 11:33 pm

If I am sourcing out orange drop capacitors. can I use a .0047 uf x 600V in place of a .0047 x 400V?
Thanks,

Well Dave Funk reckons that they will both work in the circuit with no problems, they apparently sound better when they are closest to their limit. So if the circuit warrants 400V, then a 400V cap is supposed to sound better in the circuit than a 600V say.

Anyone know why this might be :?:
