It's pretty much the same but the resulting grid leak resistance is 153k with the pot maxed instead of 224k with the Larry MV. The Rich Mod presents a different load to the PI and will change the character of the sound slightly. Lower grid leak value puts a shorter leash on the power tubes which is good for longevity.
