Have you tried Stef's suggestion of replacing the silver mica tone stack cap?

Changed the 500pf Mica cap in the tone stack, still no change.

Double . Lift your NFB resistor on one end. If problem goes away, swap grid wires OR swap OT red and white wires to power tube sockets (which do actually appear to be reversed).stef wrote:neikeel wrote:getting the OT primaries reversed.

Hey guys yea I figured it out, It was the OT primaries which is weird as the original board must of been wired the other way round as I didn't swap them when I rebuilt it? Anyways problem fixed - amp rocks all good!
