Have a laugh and a listen

Haven't posted in a while but This is the completed donor:

I am in NO way a sound engineer, and suck at it frankly! and only have minimums to record with, an interface, some shity computer speakers from probably 2000, which are far from flat, an sm57, and a closet I used to throw the cab in. Critiques are most deffinitely welcome!

I repeat critiques welcome

not bad! the mix sounds like an old megadeth/metallica demo should  . Guitars are raw and full of midrange.

 thanks man! I might have overdid it on the mids a little. The thing was naturally more "modern" sounding so I had to roll off gain and pump the mids up on it to try and get an older sound. Plus I'm not well set up to record and use a crappy pair of altec Lansing desktop speakers to monitor so I pretty much just hope for the best, and rely on others opinions.

Nah, sounds fine through my Mission 752 Freedoms, cheap Eltax bookshelves, TDL RTL3's, 90's Peavey Monitors, and original Wharfedale XP2's. As well as my homebuilds, which are already a touch on the warm side.
So I like purple, okay!!!!!!

Early XF3's. That's a good earning.
Well, try 'em, and if you don't appreciate the difference, there's always ebay.

Someone gave me a pair of those just a few months ago. I remember when I could still raid Radio Shacks across the country and stir up a few occasionally. Lovely!

Amp is cranky, like you! Sounds great!!

Are those the ones made on the Mullard tooling? I have also seen Chinese with same markings as the way backs but nothing printed on the bottles at all.

Joey, I think that clip sound f-ing awesome. Tight and percussive and all out good. Too much mids? Nah, that's almost impossible.
