Where To FInd Current Philips Caps (electrolytic)

Post by Derrick » Sun Dec 11, 2016 12:01 pm

Hi all, for Marshall amp builds (bias and preamp electrolytics) as well as pedals like the Fuzz Face, etc., Phillips electrolytic caps were used. They never stopped selling them and a few years back, Metro used to sell them and I think they were also stocked in Mouser. Not long ago, they stopped making them under the Philips name and are made by someone else... Vishay I think. I have several vintage amp and pedal restorations and want to order some. Anyone know where to get them currently? I looked in Mouser but didn't see them there. Did I miss them?

As per other reply, try Valvestorm or the ebay link to eastern europe.

Hmmm... so no parts stores like Mouser or Digikey selling them? Valvestorm only has one value. eBay is out of the question since I don't do PayPal. Damn.

I believe you can pay via credit card on eBay now that they have broken off from PayPal.
