NEw plexi build

Post by Bonsaimaster » Mon Feb 20, 2017 1:07 am

Ok new plexi build. It has a tone stack bypass. Sound is great with the tone stack bypass. But with the tone stack engaged the sound has less gain and too much bass. Any thoughts to alter either gain or tone stack? When the tone stack is engaged and the tone knobs are at 12 o'clock I want the amp to sound like it does now with the tone stack disengaged. Then with the tone stack disengaged I want more gain.

Thanks in advance,

Does the amp sound like a proper Plexi should with the tonestack engaged? We need to determine if the amp is working properly first. There are many ways to cut bass and add a little extra gain but it needs to be working normally first.

It seems to be working fine. It just sounds dark. The build is a hybrid between a DR Z remedy and a trainwreck power section.

What happens when you keep the bass on 0 with mids to 10 and adjust treble to taste?
