Re: (RIP) Mark Abrahamian
I am so saddened by this news. I just didn’t want to believe this yesterday and was hoping that it was all an internet mistake. But now I know it’s true. My sincerest condolences go out to Mark’s fiancé and family for their loss.
I was a customer of Mark but also considered him my friend. I found him right here in this forum, and was so impressed by the clips he would post that I just had to have one of his amps. He built me a 100W Plexi from the ground up – a project that definitely hit some speed bumps along the way as I’m pretty sure I hold the record for Mark’s longest build ever at 14 months. Although that episode was frustrating, it’s the end result, and how well Mark handled himself afterwards that will always remain with me.
You see, Mark turned out to be a great guy who cared very much about the product he was offering. I can’t remember how many times he would email me after I received the amp or I would call him to listen in over the phone and he would yell at me to make some clips and post them for all to hear. He always offered encouragement upon hearing me play because that’s all I am – a longtime player who can’t build an amp. He kept up with the communication right up to just a few months back.
And this was coming from a guy who was actually “living the dream”. A true “Rockstah” who was doing something that most of us only fantasize about. And he did it well. Few would argue that his clips remain amongst the very best EVER for capturing a certain, elusive rock tone. Mark did what we are all trying to do – leave a legacy. He will always be known as a great guitar player, amp builder/tweaker (Mod5!), and more importantly, a friend to many.
I smile every time I plug into that amp and play…every single time. Now it even holds a little more meaning to me than before.
Rest peacefully, Mark. I will miss talking with you.

Re: (RIP) Mark Abrahamian
Guys
I think it would be very cool for someone at Metro to send a statement to family about how influential Mark had been in this Amp building community and about the great sounding amps he was building. Perhaps a contribution fund could be made for a week or so (which I'd gladly participate in). Under the circumstances, setting any/all differences aside and doing something for Marks memory would be a very cool and stand up thing to do in my opinion.
still hard to believe this happened

I posted a link to this thread on his FB page for his other friends to see what his amp friends are saying.

Mark was so nice dealing with me when he modded my amp. He even fixed it for me at no extra charge. This is really a shock and a sad day.

Re: (RIP) Mark Abrahamian
I really don't know what to say -- I'm blown away. Mark was my age, same insane love of EVH, a brother in tone for sure, a leader in tone for most. Tragic, just tragic. But I hope he's hearing the most unbelievable music he's ever heard in his life right now. Thank you Mark, RIP and please take care of yourselves, tone brothers.
At it awhile, still learnin'
