I feel it my duty to clarify the appropriate words used in these cases since I am most likely a "geek" by definition... who you're really referring to George in the trekky camp are "dorks" or "nerds" as you can see here:
I like to think of myself as a nerd... but frequently find I'm actually just a geek. :
