Hey fellers, how about an amp report. Anything stand out? Any surprises?
Drop by Retro King and check out Chuck Dean's 18 watter and tell us what you think.

And have a great time!

The Metro-Plex ROCKS!!!!!

And solodallas' Schaefer Diversity replicator is a KILLER pedal. Not just for great AC/DC tones either.

The usual host of great players coming through, Steve Stephens, Phil X and Pete Thorn. Steve and Phil ripping on Dave Freidmans killer amps. First time I got to see one of his famous RackSystems in person as well. Impeccable workmanship.

Jim ScumBack and Jim Wagners (WCR pickups) room was SRO all day Sat. There were more cabs in that room than a Hendrix stage set up!

Jerry at Surreal had an insane gain 50 watter. There was a metal guy ripping it to shreds when I stopped by to say hi. Jerry is also working with Tone Bakery on pedals and had a Klon clone that sounded dead on to me when he A/B'd it with a real silver Klon. and only $99!!! Screw that $1500+ real Klon insanity.

I was really impressed with the new Maganatones as well.

And of course, finally making an appearance Sat afternoon..the one and only crazy Rheinhold Bognar....

I really, really wanted to make it, but I bit off way more than I could chew that weekend.

Absolutely, positively next year for sure. I promised George I'd bring a '54 Strat next time I saw him . . .
