That's great!

If you need any help (IF you need it, you're the guru in my opinion) I've rebuilt my JMP 2203 with your PTP board and did a lot of work on JMP's and JCM800's ever since.
Can't wait for the kit, stashing cash for a JTM45 and a JMP2203 kit now!
Cheers!

George are you still going to drill an extra preamp hole on the chassis for an extra gain stage mod? and are you going to post the mod(s)?

Thanks

The extra hole is there and the stock kit comes with a cover in case the extra hole isn't used.

I will be developing mods for the kit. And they will be included in the kit instructions or as an addendum, so anyone can access them.

Up to step 8 on the step by step's.

I can't wait! I hope the mods are good too. One last thing would the chassis have pre drilled holes for the SDM fx loop. I think it should come standard.

Yes, it does. The chassis is drilled, but the panel is not. So you only have to remove the aluminum from the panel to install the loop. Same for the voltage switch. Even for the extra 2 input jacks on the front (just like original 2203's and 2204's).

Someone just told me that there was a Marshall MV before the jmp 2203 and that everybody hated it, I believe he said it came out in 74 or thereabouts, is this true?

Marshall first made a "Master Volume" in '75 as axeman pointed out. The thing is, they didn't cascade the channels on these. It's essentially a Superlead with an added master volume pot between the tone stack and the phase inverter. By all accounts they didn't sound that great. By '76 the 2203 circuit as we know it was introduced.

If one planned on using the SDM loop. Would yall be willing to drill the holes on the rear panel for it? I wouldn't mind paying for this.

And if you do come up with an extra gain stage mod, It would be nice to still be able to get the stock 2203 and the modded 2203. Maybe the top input is stock 2203 and the bottom input is modded 2203.

I think you could talk us into attaching and drilling the rear panel.

Here's a few more shots.
