If you need an amp THAT authentic, why not go to ebay and buy an original??
+1

George's kit looks AMAZING!!! To be perfectly frank, i'd rather buy this kit (or have it assembled by George's people) than get a, say, 1984 Marshall! That's how much i like George's work here!!!

Kudos to George and the team!!! Fantastic work!

If you really hate the METRO text, it will probably clean right off with some thinner.

Thanks guys, the instructions are coming along slowly as I mentioned. Here's a sample of one page to show the layout and quality of the photos. This is slightly reduced resolution from what the final will be.

Personally I'd be real damn excited about having a brand new Metro on it, and proud of the label.

Sure it a whole fukkin' site better than having a brand new Marshall with Marshall on it!

Personally I say putting any other logo on a clone is just plain wrong! You wanna a different logo, I like going down the route that Joe Popp did!

Was gonna put a Marshall style script 'Molotov' logo on mine, but I figured since it is a Marshall (well, except the metro innyrds!!!!) it'll stay as a Marshall logo.
So I like purple, okay!!!!!!

Great looking, well done George! These manuals are not helpful only with these amps, they in my view are unverisal - really really helpful!

One thing i'd like to add that i've done that i'd like to share (not sure this is the best thread, but since you put that page of manual)

- when adding these grid resistors - what i've done is made tiny loops on the other end of the resistor - did this using these pointy pliers and making a loop in the lead - so i can feed the wire nicely through the hole. I made 2 loops (one above the other) on the resistors that go on sockets 5 and 6 (on a 100w amp) and 1 loop for the sockets 4 and 7. In one loop i fed the wire connecting these resistors from pin 4 to 5 and 6 to 7, and on the second loop on sockets 5 and 6 i used to feed the twisted wire from the board (or the PPIMV in my case). That made a really nice and sturdy contact, so not only solder keeps it together.

Something like this: Image

Ha! That's just like the original metal panels, too! Your authenticity knows no bounds

I had a look, and the sample PDF looks great.

Sounds like it. :D Shoot the shop an email. Might be a short while since George isn't officially offering them for sale, but he has built a few Metropoulos 2203's since the re-structure, so does have the parts available.
