Don't know if it's uncool of me, but I thought I'd mention that you can sign up for 50W chassis at the Marstran forum.
With George's upcoming 100w batch I will finally be able to finish the full lineup...

To do this right, you will have to at least invest around 1k or more. It's worth it and will run you 4 times that a year if you get hooked in this blissful realm. Since George's kits came down allot of cool folks have taken up the slack as far as sourcing all the basic parts that are needed for a 68 kit. Valvestorm is a gift to the community, give him your business, he put a huge amounts of work and blood into putting up that store. The willingness of George to do these runs of chassis is pure generosity w/ NO profit, considering the time and effort he put into this forgotten world. Without George, the 67-68 plexi clone would only be echoes of lost legend. People just don't get it! It's a funny and vibrant community of friends and enemies, all contributing key pieces to the puzzle: Chris ****** comes to mind here, and now Rockstah (though the mod5 is gay, that fucker is very cool): Genius needs to draw defined borders: fences make good neighbors!BAinFL wrote:I wish I jumped into this project back when George had his kits available =(

Re: '68 bare bones chassis kits
I couldn't agree with you more Strat. I've only been around here a couple of weeks and already I can tell George has attracted a great family of amp builders (and some really generous vendors) participating here. It's really impressive to see the collection of talented builders and the amazing amps I've seen and heard...but also that so many professionals are so generous offering help to first timer builders and hobbyists. It's also a testament to the quality of George's work that his "kits" are still alive and kicking through the people here - even if he's no longer selling them as before.Strat78 wrote:To do this right, you will have to at least invest around 1k or more. I've ordered my chassis from George, ordered my turret board from Brian H and will fill in many of the remaining pieces from Valvestorm, Wallace, Terry etc... After reading as much as I have on these boards the past few weeks, I'll be doing all my business with Metro forums supporters whenever and wherever possible because they're here for the love of building ass-kicking amps and helping people. I see how quality, craftsmanship, engineering and attention to fine detail are so ingrained in the culture here...it's amazing. I'm on a somewhat limited budget for my build, but if it means I have to buy things at a slower pace and will finish in August instead of June, thats cool with me =) I just can't wait to get started!!!

George is the man.
I tell ya, thanks to his kits/support/forum/etc etc etc, AND the generous sharing of knowledge that goes on around here, I'm no longer ignorant about a LOT of things.
The emporer has no clothes with a lot of the boutique marketing for me now...and lots...well, they're in see through.....

Re: '68 bare bones chassis kits
George, I am simply in awe at craftsmanship of the chassis. You can see all the thought that went into it. It will look even better it's finished. Thank you!
