reverb help please

i have one of the early line 6 spider valve bonger 2x12 combo amps .
when i purchased the amp the shaft on the reverb knob was sheared off completly.
so last summer i managed to get a guy at line 6 to actually ship me the pot and a few knobs i was missing as i have no line 6 authroized shop near me at all.
so the pot was replaced and im guessing maybe i did not get it sodered in place correct cause i cant adjust the reverb with the knob
i know it works cause there is factory effects and user saved effects that the reverb works on and even on the fvb short board.
i am wanting to get that working correctly so i can sell the amp and use the money to help fund something new.
any advice tips or help i can get to figure this out id be most greatfull. thank you
