Great! So what about moving the mod into an external foodswitch unit? What is the best way to preserve the sound quality and to keep it safe? Do I have to use relays? And maybe a stereo jack? Can you help me in drawing the correct schematic?
Thanks for your help. ..

Re: Mark Cameron Jose master volume schematic??
Hi guys, I was thinking of putting several "mods" together with a rotary switch, and after digging several forums, I guess I'll go with these options:
1 - nothing
2 - two zeners (ala Fortin, JoseArredondo?)
3 - two 2N5400 (ala Fortin Cali)
4 - two MPSA06 (ala Friedman BE100)
I've wired them according to the following schematics (can you please confirm it? )
What do you think? How would you describe the different flavors of the mods?
In addition, will there be pops when switching? If so, can it be prevented?
Hope this helps other people that want to mod their plexi

Hi vh, could you please repost the corrected schematic? Can't see it anymorevh junkie wrote:You do not need the 100k if it is already on the board. Cameron recommended moving it off the board, and grounding it right the socket though.
Anyway, with other corrections, you should do it like this:
EDIT: 100k resistor shown moved off the board

Re: Mark Cameron Jose master volume schematic??
I would be interested in trying this mod out with my 1987x too, similar to frusciante89. I have the rich mod 2 MV mod already done, can the Jose MV still be done?
