Here's a current clip of my amp with some more tweaks. I basically replaced all the ceramic discs with 100v Multilayer C0G's, except the tone stack and PI. I also put in some metal film resistors on the cathodes and lowered my guitar neck tone cap to 15n.

Sounds kick ass! I still think scom sounds a bit off. Maybe lower the gain a little?? But it still kicks ass

Re: S.I.R. 100W SuperLead Schematic pt. II
I'm using RN60's for my cathodes, but I'd be a bit hesitant to use them on the plates as the RN60's are rated for 300V max working voltage. The RN65's would be a little better at 350V. The B+ in my pre-amp is around the 290V to 300V mark.CoffeeTones wrote:Try some CMF65 / RN65 or CMF60 / RN60 plate resistors in the first couple of stages.

Thanks herbvis and antosimoni. Yeah, I think I need to turn the gain down a touch and I also still want to cut a little bit more bass, but have to order some more parts.
I can't provide my complete spec, but I'll state what my first two stages are:
Hot Shield 33k input
1k8/2u2 cathode, 100k plate
22n
2n2//470k
1M gain pot with 220k to ground and 1n bright
10k/100n cathode, 100k plate
10n
470p to ground
1M gain pot
100k grid stopper

wow oh wow, just tried your spec, for the most part anyway. I still have a 8.2k/.22 xtra stage with a 2n2 over the plate, 220p brite cap, no cap over 820r, no sheild trick, still using 10k tail- might switch it out, don't know yet. sounds fantastic, this is one brite ass amp, its that xtra treble peaker that put the finishing touch on the mod, without it the mod sounds dull and theres way too much flubby gain. the sound and tone is there, just got to get use to playing it now
