I finally removed the last metal oxide resistor in the B+. I also decided to bump up the reverb a touch and render in stereo. Oh and I bumped up the PI tail resistor to 12k.

Welcome,
It doesnt really work like that around here. The specs above your post should be a good starting place. Your gonna have to experiment and share/join the discussion around here before anyone "gives" you anything. Please dont take offense as that is not the intent. Its just that most of us have put a lot of time, effort, and even money searching for the perfect afd tone. Like I said, the specs above will get you in the ballpark, but your gonna have to experiment :)

This sounds really good. Which speakers, power tubes and pickup in guitar?

That sounds pretty darn good! You can hear that mid honk like crunch (if that makes any sense). But whatever it is, it's there. If I was you I wouldn't change this and get another amp for your hobby. Congrats man.

Cheers. Scumback H75-PVC 65W, JJ 6CA7, Brierley A2 Humbuckers.

Next on the hit list is to trial increasing the diameter of the wiring in my speaker cabinet to open up the bass and increase impact. I originally wired the cab with some generic cable I had spare when I first bought the empty cab.

Hi Guys, bit of news for you, Mr Frank Levi gave me the last details to the 36 mod, It happened as so, I sent him my scheme some time ago asking him how close was it to the real 36 mod, he wrote back to me saying it was close enough & he would check his notes & send me the rest of the mod. Well the other day i got my scheme back with the corrected values on it, he had changed 2 parts of the scheme.

I have made some clips with the real 36 mod spec for you to hear, amp is a 76 JMP 100w with all Mullard tubes in it, speaker is the Levi development speaker, settings were all 6 MV at 2,

Without orig,

All credit has to go to Mr Frank Levi for the final details, :toast:

As respect for Frank Levi I will not be giving the details of this mod out.
