You said Frank mentionned Slash used a GE-7 on AFD ?
I've heard that GE-7 was used with #34 (as well as a boss distortion pedal).

So do you confirm that this GE-7 was combined with #36 ?
For sure GE-7 helps to fit the tone as you want, but are we sure it was used on AFD ?

few years back I've tried to nail Snakepit (5 oclock) tone, and Slash told me it was the jub.,
But the jub didn t make the job, so I've just added the GE-7, and I got this:

So I'm pretty sure GE7 is used in the studio by slash.
Now I would like to know if he used it on every records he played on

I cant confirm that Slash used the GE7 on AFD, but if i remember correctly Frank Levi in a interview said Slash used pedals with the 36 amp on AFD, & again i could be mistaken, but Slash also said in an interview he used pedals on AFD, i think he said one was a GE7, whether that's true or not i don't know. I can say that the Schemo Frank Levi gave me is a very big sounding tone in the room, & the GE7 shapes the tone in the right direction.

Now i have probably tried every spec there is in the book and then some lol & the Frank Levi spec with the GE7 is the real deal. Well i believe it to be so, & that's all that matters to me.

Also Frank Levi said, all the schematics & specs on here are all wrong, he also said 36 was not a harsh & brittle tone.

If #36 was a balanced sounding amp, what made the right channel of afd harsh bright and stingy? Could it be the g12h30 75hz that made it so? Or maybe a pedal infront or just plain post eq?

what duke i think was meant to say its that the #36 isnt thin sounding, opposite to bennys design, duke stablishes that the amp was full sounding with bass mid an treble freqs and sounded BIG. I think and im testing the mid hump part, listen to duke recordings he got a sparkly and mid hump sound, it never wents out, ohh the speaker helps too

one side is the modded marshall by frank and the other one is the a laney amp

Who's Laney? 36 mod to the Laney? GH100? It sounds close enough.

i read that the marshall was modded by frank, and george goy 2 laneys, one for clean one for dirty, i dont know the models. The laney was on one side and taked "the bass and the marshall the highs", i suppose it was said because of the sound of each amps.

As far as i read no Laney was modded, only the Marshall and we all know it was made by Frank and confirmed by George in his instagram

The stock Laney GH is just okay. Some minor mods make it a lot better.
