As far as recording goes I’ve always been a die hard analog guy. Until I heard the UA stuff. The unison channel strip stuff is awesome and as close as you can get. I use the SSL 4000 as a unison then right after that is the Studer A800 tape machine. I print those direct to protools. Very sweet

When I have the Friedman BE-100 in the UNISON slot I don't think it sounds good. I don't know why.

signal chain is the BE-100 plugin into the EMT-140 plate reverb. Gain set to 8. sounds really good through some stereo monitor speakers.
