Sounds great! You say this is a 'new' mod, meaning a different version from the one you've been doing for the past year or so?

That's right the sound its more VH and none Slash, which its funny because they are similar sounding...Unique wrote: ↑Sat Feb 19, 2022 1:59 pmBoth of those amps sound good, but neither of them sound like the mods they are suppose to be representing, IMHO.reychapa wrote: ↑Fri Feb 18, 2022 6:42 pmWatch this videos!...![]()

IMO, Slash has more gain and attack than EVH. That is to say that two 10k stages are not quite right for AFD. Bypassed or not, that doesn't get to Slash gain levels and attack, but does get to EVH levels of gain, attack and compression. Not sure which pickups are in that guys gold top, but may not be A2P. He obviously is snubbing highs that are present in the Slash sound. I believe I hear some delay in his clips too. Not bad, just different.

according to my experience, we can't use the same values for all amps, there are many factors that consider
Triodes Gain, components tolerance, etc.
But, any way, the values are used for base. Besides that this mod is different to loud volume. Is here where the sound is great.
Always keep in mind that the base of the mod is a plexi with a boost in front

Thats right, they are not the same but they are similar sounding, i mean with a VH mod i can get close to the Slash tone and vice versa although they have differencesCoffeeTones wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 2:35 pmIMO, Slash has more gain and attack than EVH. You sparked my interest. I'll let you know how it goes in a few days. Gotta add a stage to this JCM sitting here. Maybe get my son to record some clips, if the brings his tools over.
