Hasn't anyone of you tried a mix of Greenback and Classic Lead 80. I have 2 amps and 2 cabinets, one 4X12 with 3 old Greenback and one Vintage 30 and then a 2X12 with Classic Lead 80. My AFD mod is in Metroamp 50W Kit and I use both power amps, the other amp is a Metroamp 100 MV kit converted to Friedman BE-100 specs. Sounds convincing.

Any one tried an Electro-Voice EVM12L with their amp? Supposedly Izzy used them in half of his cab, so possibly Slash might have used it for certain tracks or takes?

The right way for make shield trick without cable is 33k+33pf from grid to anode pin..

They are great huh? 65s lets you play the treble more and add more bright harmonics.

They're just a great 80's speaker. AC/DC recorded Back in Black with them too  also with a late 70's Marshall...hmm!

Other advice: the real 34 is set with very low bias....

Shield trick: the single cap don't work like the cable.....add a little resistor in series.....so 33k it's a most probably value

150k on wiper, this is just like 'secret life of pots' and full-drive 2 with star and alien head :)))) yeah, you must keep it in dark places..what do you think? i have that pedal and it is different, pots are custom made, closure and so on. once you find the sweet spot you feel just like an alien. same here, learn how to use and customize pots in first place. learn how to read schematics (aspen pittman's acrobat) and learn tube equatations..yeah sweet mine and cups and dialectric material. thats for now, will post some samples of my current project. only 3 preamp tubes. thats enough even for #36 in my opinion. farewell

The 3 tubes version of 36 is 34. ..if you want increase the 34 gain with 3 tubes change the anode resistor of second stages with 150k....rest is time lost

"The 3 tubes version of 36 is 34. .."

This is why you're still not satisfied with your #36 tone Benny. ..

#34 #36 and #39 are all different experiments in trying to achieve a super plexi tone at lower volumes...mainly because the 2203 amps failed in that respect.

Let go of #34 and look at Franks preferred way of modding Marshall's in the 80's and you will find better #36 accuracy.
