An old Greco LP

Post by xjunjix » Mon Oct 10, 2005 12:48 am

I have an old Greco LP that I got from an uncle a few years ago. So the neck pickup has not been working since the time I got it, so I usually don't use it. For a while I just thought the neck pickup was broken somehow, or the wiring got screwed up for the neck pickup. But when I was playing around with it today I noticed it worked when the toggle switch was in the middle, and I always thought that if one pickup was broken the middle wouldn't work, so I was thinking maybe the toggle switch is just screwed up. I don't know though. I'm don't really know too much about fixing guitars and stuff.

Those gibson style toggles suck. I cant tell you how many times Ill replace one and in no time Ill notice the guitar cutting out untill I flick it a couple times. The mechanical action just doesnt make a good connection between the metal parts.
