Just bought an early 90's Fender Blues Deluxe off ebay.

Anyone have anymore info on these?
From what I know, these amps were the predecessor to the Hot Rod Deville/Deluxe??
Also, the early 90's versions were USA made (diff components) and the current Reissues are made somewhere else and have different components?
Any info on these would be great.
The badge on the front appears to be a little different than the current reissues as well.

Cool!
I don't believe I have seen one of those in blond before.
Sounds like a cool amp and you can't beat the clean tones on those.

I had the newer one and I traded it in for a '59 Bassman Reissue

Re: Just picked up an early 90's Fender Blues Deluxe
I bought one and really like it, a lot! I found a few mods and made a few changes. Clipped a bright cap at the reverb and added a cap on the return to warm up the reverb. Removed the crappy input jacks and wired in Switchcraft jacks. I did a gain mod on the drive channel and it sounds killer. My only issue now is a bit bassy at gig volume with humbuckers. I have the bass all the way rolled off and need to reduce the bass a bit to be able to use the bass pot. Been trying to figure out what to do with the Duncan Tone Stack calculator, but haven't found the right values yet, might need to reduce the bass pot from 1M to 250K. Maybe changing the cathode bypass cap from 25uf down to 1-5uf in the first stage or a coupling cap somewhere. It is about 95% there. Great amp!!
