weber mass locad dump mini mass etc it's too confusing

Post by supafuzz » Mon Nov 07, 2005 7:30 pm

I went on ted's site and ended up confused by all the choices
i want a 100 watt [for my 50 watt amps]
and I don't ever want to use the line out
The mass 100 had all these cool tone controls but they're just for the line out
which I don't need..
whAT'S THE ALTERNATIVE??
THANKS

Im pretty sure all you have in the way of 100W MASS's now is that one with all the switches. But they dont effect anything when you dont use a line out. I dont think you can get a cheaper scaled down one though

It's just too complicated looking

Tell him if he doesnt do it for you, youll sign up each day to a different online email account and send him an email asking- what is your bets sounding speaker, what is a greenback and what speaker sounds like that, what does watts mean, hats an attrenuator do, do attenuators really sound bad at lkow volumes, etc... He'll go mad!

i'm cracking up here
I forgot that I bought an early 50 watt load dump and wasn't happy with the sound. One of my friends had a mass 50 that sounded better
[only played it for a few minutes though]

jmp 50 mk II combo [1976]
traynor yba-1 bassmaster [1979]
marshall 1912 cab

lately I just use the marshall Guv'nor I picked up on denmark street in london 2 years ago..retired the drivemaster for the moment...

why not just use pedals..seems easier to contro volume that way

Ted's building a mass lite! it's the right side of the mass without all the tone stack stuff on the left side for the DI

cool..can't wait...
