Mesa Boogie Mark III Redstripe Problem

Post by metalhead3ecr » Wed Jan 18, 2012 5:56 pm

So I just got this guy about a week ago. And when the Graphic EQ is engaged...I get this strange fading effect with the Midrange and the Bass every so often.

I figure since the amp is so old...maybe some component is failing.

Help me out?? What's wrong with it? I already contacted Mesa Boogie...they said they didn't know and would get back to me.

Thanks,
Ed

I would suspect an intermittent slider pot. Did you try cleaning them?

Yes. I opened it up and found some oxidation on some solders. I Cleaned everything I could...Problem Still Exists.

Any Other Thoughts!??
