1974 Silverface Twin Reverb

I just scored a really clean, all original 1974 Silverface Twin Reverb for a really good deal.

I don't have the amp yet, but I do know that the reverb isn't working. I know a lot of guys that have had fenders and this seems to be pretty common.

Three questions:

1. Does anyone know what the check out in the reverb circuit to troubleshoot?
2. It's all original, should I blackface it or leave it be?
3. Assuming I might want to black face it, does anyone have an all-inclusive resource that tells you what you need to change. I know Gerald Weber has a book with some instructions, he has a video online showing a few mods (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLuxWAj3VaI) to the bias and premier guitar also has an article with a few mods (http://www.premierguitar.com/articles/1 ... in-reverbs), however I am not sure if any of these are all-inclusive. It seems kind of piece-mealed to me.
