thanks for the understanding. Don't get me wrong, I have an itch to look inside. It's just too soon to snatch out the chassis. It's less than a month old. As I said though, when I DO pull it i'll post pics.

I was told yes. The day after I got it the"JJ 12AX7" went out. I thought it may have blew a fuse. So I called GC and they called Gibson to see if it had a internal fuse. I was going to pull the chassis then. Gibson told them DO NOT pull the chassis, just bring it back to them and have a "gibson" certified tech look at it. So I asked well can I at least pull the tubes? they said yes but again DO NOT pull the chassis. Pulled the JJ put in a EH12AX7 wallah. Back in action. Thats why I'm so sore to JJ tubes, thats the 2nd one I had just go out on me and they were brand new. The other was on my Marshall when I did a full re-tube. old tubes=amp worked. new tubes=amp no work. it was the JJ in V1. Long story but thats why I'm a little weary on pulling the chassis. I wanna see how it holds up before I pull anything that will void my warranty.

Take it to a tech to replace a fuse. Wow. Gibson sucks.

I still don't even know if there is a fuse in it. The tube change worked, so I just left it alone. They didn't seem to know much about the amp at all. I believe it was made at some custom shop in Seattle. Maybe thats why "Gibson" don't know much about the amp.

There has to be at least a mains fuse. It would be strange if there wasnt and really strange if there is and they didnt put it on the panel?

jump on it. I know you want to build one but there are too many variables to get it to be exact. I have a friend that was going to build me one but after I played this one and at 381.00 I don't regret it one bit. My brother heard it and now he will soon be buying one.

I scored one of these for $300 out the door at guitar center today and the amp was brand new. They aren't the same as the originals at all but they are one of the best sounding low power tube combos I've played in a while, especially for the price tag. They are definitely deserving of a 600 price tag. I'll pull the chassis and start a thread with some pics pretty soon.
