Anybody checked out Fargen amps?

Post by dirtydeeds22 » Tue Nov 04, 2003 10:51 pm

Has anybody played or seen one of these amps in person? I saw it Guitar Player last week and then checked out the website. The mini plex sounds very intruiging; 8-12 watt heads or 1-12 or 2-12 combos with 2 El-34's. Usually low watt amps only come with El-84's. The cool thing I thought was that you can change to different tubes without having to rebias your amp. I listened to the music clips and I thought they sounded pretty damn good. Seems a little pricey, but maybe worth it for a low watt plexi type combo. Check it out and let us know what you think.

How much are they? I saw some pictures and they look like midgit marshalls, but i'm sure they want to be called "little marshalls". We've gotta be politically correct...

I like "Midget Marshall", sounds tougher. I think the heads are in the $800- $900 range, and the cabs are $1100>. But, damn wouldn't it be nice to have a Midget?
