What do you guys recomend, in the 20W area. I was thinking the coice would be between: Marshall Haze 20H, Blackstar HT 20H or the Jet City JCA20H. Was also gonna get the matching cabs, unless you know anything better. To me the Blackstar has the best spec: FX Loop, 2 channel, EQ, Footswitch, Celestion speaker...

Or maybe at a push the Peavey 6505+ 112 combo, although it is 60W, dont really need that for using at home/bedroom. I dont gig so...

I've got the JCA20H with matching cab. To me it's got a JCM 800 tone going. The master volume and tone controls work well and has plenty of bass on tap. It's very well made and the only weak point are the tubes. Musician's Friend has them for $349 which is a great price for an amp this good.

I went to Guitar Center yesterday and tried the Egnater Tweaker, both the Soldano & THD-designed Jet City low-watt amp heads, and the Orange Tiny Terror. I used a Gibson with plain '57 Classic humbuckers & a Strat w/ alnico-staggered pickups. The Tiny Terror (which I was biased against because the only 3-knobs & the name) beat them all, hands down for either clean or dirty. I wasn't even going to try it, but one of the employees checking on me mentioned it was hot (which I thought was just sales pitch), but I tried it because the others did not impress me that much. Too bad the TT is the most expensive of them, too. It ROCKS... :)

I didn't buy any of them, though. I already have a Fender Vibro Champ XD, a Super Champ XD and a Marshall Class 5. The Fenders are AWESOME for low-watt super high quality bedroom or daytime sound. Jeff Beck fusion years or Pink Floyd with little or no effort. The Marshall sounds great with a preamp (not pedal) driving it, but not as much by itself, although it's basic clean sounds really neat with my Echoplex EP-3 in front of it... The Fenders are also very affordable and have a sweet 6V6 tube sound to them.
