I'd love to try a good Orange, but my money keeps floating away to George's bank account instead.
The way I figure it, I must own a small chunk of the '66 JTM45/100 he just won on eBay......right???

I have an OD-120 that sounds awesome but it needs new filter caps and I keep blowing my money on other things.

Don't worry Flames. I'll give you visitation!
I love a good 'ol Orange.
Also, Sound Citys, Voxes, Fenders, Hiwatts, Laneys.....the list goes on and on.

Every once in a while I eye the 'Bay for a Sound City deal....but I haven't seen one yet, and they aren't getting cheaper either.

I have a Univox 1001 stashed at a vintage shop they are holding for me until after I spend all my coin on the kids for Christmas. Its a pretty cool little amp. All tube 200 watt amp, its set up like a Super Lead but includes reverb and tremolo built in. As for the tone, it sounds a bit more like a JTM45 then a SL though.

And that one is 200 watts? And it's small and sounds more like a JTM45? Innerestin'!

Yeah it "says" output is 200 watts. Uses 4 6L6 power tubes, 3 12ax7's and one other value tube I did not see what it was. Like a Marshall the amp only sounded pretty good dimed. But it was nowhere near a dimed Marshall in overall volume when a Marshall is not even to the halfway point. Granted it got loud, but it just might compete with a loud drummer if that is a good example. Probbly needs a little work. I'll be picking it up just for a different flavor in the sound palette.

Yeah right. I use to say that about HiWatts when they were 700-800 bucks. Before I knew it the market tacked on a thousand. I always wanted one and everyone said get em now while you still can. But no, I had to get a 2203, or an SLO or Budda. Damn me.

HiWatt !
Hell HiWatts are easier. They have really simple strip boards and simple layouts and very specific milspec wiring. I just want the trannys and Chassis. Coarse theres probably only abotu 3 people whod ever buy them ;(
