Ampeg lee Jackson model fades out and in

Hi guys I just got a 1990’s Ampeg VL502 it sounds great but then it all Of a sudden he volume goes down and it sounds thin and fizzy we’re should I look. At the power tubes or what I have build a bunch of effects pedals and a clone of a JTM 45 any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Always start with a good tube in each position to rule that out first. I would suspect a bad solder joint that is losing connection when the amp warms up. This is especially true if the amp had pcb mounted tube sockets. Try reflowing all of the sockets if you have the capability to do so.
