Peterson Virtual Strobe Tuners
Anybody out there using one of these Peterson VS-1 or VS-II tuners. My korg Sucks!!! I've been seeing the VS-I model on eBay for $100-150. Everything I've read says buy it. One of you TONE freaks has to be using one of these.

I have both the Peterson VS-1 and VS-2, and will be buying the Strobostomp as soon as finances allow. I will not trust any other tuner than one of these three. Reason being is that most tuners with "auto note recognition" have a split second delay between the time you hit the string and the time it FINALLY recognizes the note. Well, by the time it knows what note it is, the string's sustain has already died off. End result? You spend most of the night chasing the needle or LED indicators while you're trying to tune!
The Petersons have very little or no delay at all in most cases. I have had absolutely no problems in the 2 years that I've been using Peterson digital strobes.

Not really. Most of the features on those Virtual Strobes are not features we as guitar players would use. However, the accuracy of one of these bad boyz is unsurpassed!
Go ahead and go with the VS-1. IMHO they're both great tuners.

As far as I know Shane, they should be but I haven't gotten one for myself yet.
When I do I'll let you know but honestly, as much faith as I have in the Peterson company, it's very highly likely that it will be just as good.
What I think is they probably downscaled the bench tuner to only include features a guitar player would use(such as the "stomp the switch, hit the string and tune" feature), but used the same exact chipset as they use in the bench models.
