Beam Blockers on the Weber site

Hey guys, for those of you who place duct tape on the grillecloth over the center of the speaker cones...Weber's got a better way. They make these "Beam Blockers" as they call them that mount between the speaker and the baffle. It spans across the speaker and has a circular patch over the center of the speaker cone to block point source high frequencies from creating that "ice pick" sound, which does the same thing as duct tape, but you won't be able to see them, which I think is cool cause it doesn't make the cab look like you have 4 tears in the grillecloth.

I think these are DEFINITELY worth checking out.

Yeah, I've thought they looked tempting for quite a while. If I ever get playing around again I know most of the local places are a bitch to deal with a 4x12 in. The Beam Blockers looked like a good potential way to disperse some of that point-source sound around so the cab works better with the room.
It's either that or build a Lexan shield, which I've also been eyeing building for a while now.
Too many projects, too little time.
